NVA FAQ - Trouble Shooting
Please use the following checks to diagnose the issue.
Safety reminder
Keep cutting power OFF during alignment; use the red guide light only and follow site laser-safety procedures.
Q1. Web interface freezes or becomes unresponsive
Action
a) Refresh the page (hard refresh Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+R).
b) Close & reopen the browser tab.
c) Reboot NVA, then reconnect to its Wi-Fi and retry.
Q2. Device does not power on after installing batteries
Check
a) Batteries must be 14500 Li-ion, 3.7 V, button-top (rechargeable).
b) Install two cells with polarity (+/–) correct (positives toward the compartment cover).
c) Charge the batteries; if unsure, use USB-C power (power bank/adapter) and test again.
Q3. Cleaning a contaminated outer protective lens
Method
a) Use dedicated lens-cleaning fluid, cotton swabs, and a lint-free cloth.
b) Wipe gently in one direction; avoid scratching or using household solvents.
Q4. Nozzle aperture fails circular fitting
Corrective steps
a) Improve nozzle image clarity (focus/height, clean optics).
b) Keep the nozzle centered in the imaging field.
c) Replace with a clean, undamaged nozzle if contamination persists.
d) Ensure the red dot is focused and fully within the aperture.
Q5. NVA Wi-Fi not detected for an extended period after startup
Check
a) Refresh the phone’s Wi-Fi list / toggle Wi-Fi off–on.
b) Check the NVA status LED: Green = normal, Red = low battery (charge required).
c) If using external power, ensure the adapter’s USB-A port supports 5 V / 3 A (see Section 2.5) and use the included USB-C cable.
Q6. Interface unresponsive or Wi-Fi repeatedly drops/reconnects
Likely cause & fix
a) Low power: Red LED → charge immediately or use a compliant adapter.
b) Power adapter must support 5 V / 3 A; if not, replace with a Section 2.5–compliant adapter and use a single-ended USB-C data/power cable (avoid 3-in-1 cables).
Q7. Camera feed latency
Reduce lag
a) Keep the phone within ≤ 1.5 m of NVA.
b) Refresh the web interface before re-testing.
c) Close background apps; avoid strong 2.4 GHz interference sources nearby.
Q8. Wi-Fi connected but cannot open the alignment page
Steps
a) Verify the URL and port in English input mode: http://192.168.0.1:8088 (note http, not https).
b) Disable cellular data/VPN/Private DNS temporarily and retry.
c) Renew DHCP lease or toggle Wi-Fi off–on; if still blocked, set Static IP (e.g., IP 192.168.0.2, Mask 255.255.255.0, Router 192.168.0.1) and retry.
d) Use a mainstream browser (Chrome or Edge).
